NECO SSCE Timetable May 2024

As expected, the NECO June/July Examination timetable has been released and it is available on here and on the NECO website . The Examination is scheduled to commence on Monday, 8th July and end on Saturday, 3rd August, 2019.

This is to inform all the candidates that registered for the National Examinations Council (NECO) June/July SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (INTERNAL) that the examination timetable has been released.

NECO Timetable May 7, 2024

The NECO timetable is out and it is time to start preparing for the exams.

Aside from studying, there are a few other things that students can do to prepare for the exams. Here are a few tips:

1. Get a good night’s sleep before the exam.
2. Eat a healthy breakfast on the day of the exam.
3. Make a study schedule and stick to it.
4. Get plenty of practice exams to familiarize yourself with the format.
5. Relax and don’t try to cram everything in at the last minute.
6. Most importantly, believe in yourself!

NECO Exam Date

NECO June/July examination is not only for candidates in their final year of secondary school but also for those who are not in the school system. This exam is divided into two categories: SSCE Internal and SSCE External. SSCE Internal is for candidates in their third and final year of senior secondary education while SSCE External is for private candidates.

The NECO timetable for 2022 is available online. You can also find a PDF version of the NECO timetable for 2022. The NECO examination is scheduled to take off on 27TH JUNE and ends on 12TH AUGUST 2022.

NECO Timetable

Arts students are expected to offer a total of eight subjects, while science and commercial students are to offer nine subjects each.
Thetable is arranged according to subject clusters. The NECO timetable is designed to allow students focus on a few subjects at a time, rather than all of their subjects at once.

This is intended to reduce stress and enable students to give their best performance on the day of the exam. The timetable is also designed to allow for students to get a good night’s sleep before their exams. The NECO timetable is released a few weeks before the exams begin.

Students are advised to start preparing for their exams as soon as the timetable is released. Please find the NECO Timetable below.

THE FOLLOWING NOTICE SHOULD BE TAKEN BY SCHOOLS AND CANDIDATES:

• WHERE THE TIME ON THE QUESTION PAPER DIFFERS FROM THE TIME ON THIS TIMETABLE, THE TIME ON THE QUESTION PAPER MUST BE STRICTLY OBSERVED.
• CONFIRMATION OF THE EXACT VENUES FOR THE EXAM SHOULD BE SOUGHT FROM THE NECO STATE OFFICES FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND AUTO MECHANICS PRACTICAL PAPER I, AS WELL AS FOR FRENCH, MUSIC, AND ARABIC PAPER IV.
• PRACTICAL IN SCIENCES, STENOGRAPHY, COMPUTER STUDIES, AND DATA PROCESSING CAN BE IN SETS WITH A LARGE NUMBER OF CANDIDATES AND EQUIPMENT THAT CAN NOT GO AROUND.
• VISUAL ARTS PAPER IV [CREATIVE DESIGN] SHOULD BE PROVIDED TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
• AT LEAST THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE, CANDIDATES SHOULD BE PROVIDED WITH WELDING AND FABRICATION, ENGINEERING CRAFT PRACTICE.
• NIGERIAN LANGUAGES CONTAIN LITERATURE (HAUSA, IGBO, YORUBA, EDO, EFIK, AND IBIBIO).
• ALBINO AND BLIND CANDIDATES WILL BE GIVEN AN EXTRA 30 MINUTES AT THE END OF EACH SUBJECT.
• BLIND CANDIDATES MUST USE THE NECO SUPPLIED OBR CUSTOMISED BRAILLE SHEET FOR THE EXAM.
• CANDIDATES SHOULD BE PROVIDED WITH DYEING AND BLEACHING 1B, PHOTOGRAPHY 1B, PAINTING AND DECORATION 1B, PRINTING CRAFT PRACTICE 1B, AND LEATHER GOODS MANUFACTURING AND REPAIR 1B AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAM DATE.
• IT IS ALLOWED TO USE A SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR.
• IN THE EXAMINATION HALL, ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION GADGETS (PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATORS, MOBILE PHONES, IPADS, TABLETS, SMART WRISTWATCHES/ GLASSESS/PENS, ETC) ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
• NO RESULT WILL BE ISSUED TO CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICAL (PAPER 1) IN THE SUBJECT.
