I’d like to talk about Richarlison of Watford FC. He’s looked very impressive to me so far and looks to adapted quite well to the Premier League. What does everyone else think about him?

Just wanted to make a quick shout out to the players aged 18-22 who through opportunity or necessity stepped up from the wonderkid bracket straight into being essential parts of their teams. It takes a lot of skill and a good mentality to do that without letting it get to your head.

Johnathan Leko is looking promising, had a mare against Norwich on the weekend but looked amazing against Derby when we won 4-1. Would spin and beat his man every single time

Dylan Asonganyi, part of our under-18 side, is looking like a real prospect. At 16, he’s got 9 goals in 7 games for the under-18 side this season, and is reportedly close to the first-team already.

The likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly looking at signing him, and with our academy now being firmly one of the best in the Football League, it’ll be interesting to see how he grows in the next few years.

Any Norwich fans able to tell me how Angus Gunn is getting on? I was reading he’s kept a clean sheet in his last 5 but without watching can’t say how much of that is down to him. Cheers!

I know Mathijs de Ligt is the main man when talking about ‘ Very young Dutch defenders’ which makes sense since he plays for a big internationally known club, but I’ve been really impressed by Kik Pierie at Heerenveen so far. Could be really big if he develops properly

After his goal last night I have to mention James Maddison. Better than that, he has worked on his defensive game and his work rate without compromising his creative side so he fits into a midfield 3 very nicely.

I am obviously biased but I’d be surprised if he doesn’t play for England at some point.

Continue to be impressed by our stand in 18 year old left back, had a tough task in replacing arguably our best player in Greg Cunningham but his performances since the injury to him have been stellar.

Got high praise from Redknapp after he was sacked saying we’d do well to keep hold of him and i sadly have to agree.

If Soufyan Amrabat keeps performing like this Van Bronckhorst can’t deny him any longer. I hope to see him become Feyenoord’s best players over the coming two seasons.

He brings the whole deal. Strength, stamina, speed, dexterity, technique, passing, tackling, crossing. He’s all over the pitch and he’s good at practically everything. The game against Napoli showed he’s one of the few Feyenoord players who can keep up on an international level. His only weaknesses are set pieces and finishing, my guess, but he did score a goal.

Have to be weary for a Ramselaar scenario though, where he drops in performance after half a season.

Who do you believe will be the biggest star of the current wunderkinds? As a madrid fan I am inclined to say Asensio but deep down I feel like Kimmich will end up being the leader of this next generation. He looks like he has the competitive arrogance of Neuer but is still so well composed. I thought moving him to RB would expose his weaknesses but from what Ive seen and heard he’s been surprisingly solid. So he’s basically an extremely well rounded athlete who can play all over the pitch and is already starting for Bayern at this young age. I love Marco though and with his humble attitude he has all the tools to be like the next Raul.

Dejan Ljubicic from Rapid is going to be really good in a few years. Definitely one of the best Austrian defensive midfielders in the U20 age bracket. He’s got great awareness, good ball retention and becomes a true playmaking force when he steps over the halfway line.

When he was out on loan at Wiener Neustadt, they went on a fabulous winning run that saw them top the table of the 2nd division. And now that Rapid have recalled him from loan, they’ve yet to lose a game with him in the starting lineup. It’s his clever positioning and crisp passes that give the likes of Schaub, Murg, or Schobesberger space to operate in. Kinda like Toni Kroos for Real, you don’t really see the guy on the pitch, but his impact can be felt throughout the entire team.

Also, if Patrick Pentz, who played a brilliant game for Austria Wien on the weekend, can keep this level for a few games, he might have the talent to be a leading goalkeeper in the Austrian top-flight. Maybe even more, who knows.

Jordan Ponticelli, Coventry. Scored 39 goals in 37 games for the Strachan academy when he was 17 just before we signed him. He then went on to score 28 goals for our U18’s. Scored a few in pre-season with the first team but sadly hasn’t had much of a chance in the first team this season due to our other players performing. Very interested to see how he does when he gets a full game. He came on as a late substitute earlier this month and was a massive handful for the opposition. Leicester and Everton are interested in him but thankfully he’s signed a new 5 year deal.

Hassane Bandé is an 18 year old Burkinese(?) lad who’s scored 4 goals in 1 start and 2 substitutions for us (Mechelen). He’s got good technique but especially his finishing and positioning seem to be on point (he’s not even playing as a pure 9) which the young talents tend to struggle with more. Expect to see this guy at a much better team (or Anderlecht) in the future.

Umaro Embolo is IMO the best U18 talent in Europe right now, his end product for a youth player is unbelievable. Plays for Benfica, who play later today I believe if you’d like to see him in action.

Ruben Dias solidifying his place in our central defense makes me very happy. Cool head, nice physique and decent technique, a lot to develop yet but he has a natural born leader personality: Captain of our youth ranks and B teams, all the young lads look at him with the most respect. Humble and hardworking, local boy too. What’s not to like?

Zivkovic is also quietly having a good season, hope he can hit a whole new level in the following months

David Brooks of Sheffield United? I was really impressed with him against Sheffield Wednesday, despite him still looking a little raw, but that’s the only time I’ve seen him play.

Also, I asked this in another thread to an avail, are there any good Brasileirao youngsters to watch out for in the coming years?
