Family life for Mike and Nancy is going to be interesting. I think their mom’s drinking is a sign of her attempts to be aggressively Normal in the face of blatant Non-Normality. Nancy and Mike have embraced the weird, and she’s going to completely lose her already limited ability to connect with them.

I love the Ted Wheeler character. He’s probably my favourite running joke. He’s aggressively oblivious to anything that happens in his household.

Do you know how exhausting it was being a Russophobe in the 1980s? I’m wiped out these days and things aren’t even as bad.

The baseball metaphor and Mike’s face after was my favorite 15 seconds of the whole season.

I didn’t think it was possible but Mike’s dad was even more useless this season.

Edit* /u/toomanymarbles83 reminds me I’m dumb. TIL it’s “milquetoast” and not “milk toast”.

Oof… that’s a look I’m familiar with having on my face all through the 80s when the maximum amount of knowledge in the world was what was told to you over a dinner table.

Am I the only one tired of the “useless father/screeching mother” trope in TV shows? Kinda dissapointed Stranger Things went that route.
