Hi all,

Here are some struggles that pop up a lot:

1. I lose more than I win

2. I don’t have access to data, so I bet on gut feel or I’m too lazy to do my own research

3. I tend to double down after losing a bet to win it back quick

4. I don’t have a stake strategy

5. I haven’t set any goals, I just bet to make the game more interesting to watch

6. I don’t track my results, I don’t know what my ROI is

7. Accas are fun..even if 90% lose, there is 1 that pays off big

What others can you add to that list?

And how many of you hope to make enough money betting for it to become a good second source (or primary) source of income?

After I win, I feel comfortable making dumb degen bets with my profit because “it’s just profit”

If I always blow my profits, I never actually make any bankroll -building progress

I bet very small and just for fun but man I get tilted af when I lose and idk how to stop. Most of the time when I start to lose 2 or 3 bet in a row, I end up losing a large sum of money afterwards.

Well, I have that problem that sometimes I have a good score like 6-10 wins per 2-3 lost bets, later there starts a lose streak which make me lose a lot of winnings over and over again. I don’t tilt or anything, just my bets starts to lose later.

Impulsive betting is probably the worst. I tend to tunnel vision after a big loss and I go big on another bet(that I’ve not even researched, I just think on my wallet at this point) to make up for the last one. Can confirm that it doesn’t end well.

Second thing is focusing on what I have to lose rather than focusing on what I can potentionally win. I need to start thinking as if the money I’m betting are flat out gone as soon as I place the bet. I feel like I could focus much more on the actual bet that way and I’d know my limits.

Third thing that I struggle with is betting too consistent. I should take breaks every now and then(which I do, but it’s only when I’ve lost everything I can bet with). I should take breaks, even though I have money to bet with. Strike at the right opportunities. I think that’s a key to be on a surplus when betting.

Winning big, and then staking even bigger, and losing. Then trying to make up for that loss …. know it’s the #1 rule to never chase losses, but when going on a streak I can’t help myself haha

I just can’t bet on draws.

Actually forced myself to one promising game very recently to try and get over with that, even won quite high odds there… but it still feels so wrong betting on a draw which is why I very, very rarely do it even though it’s not an uncommon outcome.

On that other question: I’m happy with winning enough to keep betting without having to put in more money. Been playing for fun for months nearly everyday and at the moment I’m at a slight plus again, never ever having dropped to 0 yet (though I came close at under 5€ not too long ago).

I always wonder whether a match ended the way it should have, or if it was luck. I feel as though there is a bias. When people win or predict matches correctly, they tend to say they knew that it was going to end that way. On the flipside, when people lose or predict matches incorrectly they tend to say that they were unlucky. I guess when they lose, cognitive bias comes into play.

    for me its simpel

1 : Drunk bets.. I drink a lot and then make stupid bets , real real gamble bets…
2 : Following tipsters SOMETIMES… meaning that they win a lot , but everytime i join their tip, i lose..
3 : betting on tennis… everyime i tell myself ‘ please dont bet on tennis’ and eventually i follow a tipster and lose.. i never ever made money betting on tennis

    thats it for me 😀

    1. Maintaining objectivity. Bias tends to sneak up on me when I’m looking at games, quite often in the form of paying more attention to data that supports my opinion and trying to justify/ignore data that doesn’t. Confirmation bias, essentially.

    2. I’m not efficient enough at taking advantage of early Asia prices. Too often it’s game day before I’ve done my prep (I’m lazy) and I’ve missed big chunks of value.

    3. I can’t program for shit (working on it)
