At one point when it seemed the Vikings were going to lose in gut wrenching fashion, I was thinking about how I had to go home and shovel my driveway because it snowed all day and for that brief moment I understood what it means to be Minnesotan

As a Browns fan I find it strange that some teams play extra games after the season. As if the preseason wasn’t bad enough…Goodell adds games to the end of the season too.. He has to be the worst commissioner ever.

Edit: Yowza thanks for the gold! I’ll save it to help fund next year’s parade!

I want to see a compilation of Vikings fans in the stadium in the last few minutes of the game. Especially that 100 year old Grandma they showed a few times – even Roger Goodell went to talk to her. I hope she didn’t have a heart attack on the last play but what a way to go if she did.

    You go Grandma Viking!

Unbelievable game. Saints came back from a 17-0 score in the second half, 4 lead changes in the last few minutes, and this play to cap it all off. What a post season for the NFL so far.

I’m not usually into football. I’m a Minnesotan though, so I have to jump on that bandwagon. I went to a small northern Minnesota bar where there were like seven or eight old people. That ending was absolutely insane. We were all jumping up and down hugging each other. It really was an amazing escape from reality. I haven’t felt excitement like this in a long time. Proud to be a Minnesotan. :’)

One of the most insane endings to a football game I’ve ever seen. From the catch with no time outs, 10 seconds to go, to the missed tackle, and the stadium and players going on the field after the TD AND the saints leaving the field before the point after, sportscasters trying to get interviews on the field before the game actually ended, then having to come back on the field to the obviously completely overwhelmed Keenum trying to put what just happened into words. Amazing game of football.

Never thought I would say this, but that was some perfect commentary from Buck. Emotional to match the play, then goes silent to not overrule the power of the moment… This is the sincere version of all those times he tried to come up with some timeless commentary well in advance of the moment itself.

My dad is a huge Vikings fan; always has been.

This particular game ending play landed him a bruise on his head as he elevated off the couch at sound barrier breaking speed, shouting “Go-Go-Go!!!”. He reached such heights that he met the ceiling fan eye-to-eye.

    Never laughed so hard.

As a Saints fan, I’m currently digging myself out of the 4 feet of salt that’s accumulated in my apartment.

Seriously though that 2nd half was really good regardless who won. Still salty, but good job Vikings, pretty fucking insane play.

Edit: One of my highest scoring comments is talking about being a salty Saints fan (our natural state). Send me King Cakes please, there’s none up here in DC.

Edit 2: My first gilded comment is regarding me being a salty Saints fan. Awesome stranger.

I have only seen my dad cry a few times in my life and this was one of them.

He had been so mad that, in typical Vikings fashion, we had blown the game and I think we all just wanted it to be over. When that happened, he leapt up screaming in shock and joy, and a few seconds later, there were tears streaming down his face.

I tried to get a picture to memorialize the occasion, but he put his hand up just in time.
