Submerged driver credits survival to flashlight and God

3 min read

It’s hard to believe Richard Ledgerwood survived this washout with just a scratch. This is an absolutely amazing story of God’s protective powers.

Ledgerwood was driving to work when the road suddenly caved in as he was driving over a bridge. His car dropped down and started to flood! It was so early in the morning and it was still dark outside, he had no idea what to do since he could hardly see a thing. He started to panic but quickly realized that he had something in his pocket that might just be able to save his life.

He pulled out small flashlight that was in his pocket and was able to escape out of his car! He soon made his way back to safe land and even had enough strength to flag down an approaching car before they had the chance to drive into the chaos. Ledgerwood credits his flashlight and God for saving his life. He told reporters that God was his co pilot that night and that he will never forget this crazy experience.

1. God is always with you.

2. God knows what you need before you even ask.

3. I pray you are aware of his presence in your life today.

God bless you and your family,
