There is an even bigger discount where you just don’t buy either one, and take a fun vacation…..or pay a months worth of rent………or eat.

    I’m so poor 😞 lol

iPhone wouldn’t be as expensive if they didn’t have to pay out the ass to Samsung for the screen.

    Well played, Samsung

Mother fuckers be out here buying $ 4 coffee, $ 8 fast food, $60/pop video games (before dlc), then bitch about dropping $1k (or $50/month) on the personal item we use/depend on more than anything else throughout the day.

To be fair, this time the new iPhone actually is worth the money. It’s a performance beast, far stronger than any Android phone.
I’m the first to bash their overpriced products who sell solely on brand name to idiots who want to brag, but this time they’re onto something.

I like the note 8 design, it’s quite attractive but I will never ever like TouchWiz. I’ve had all the HTC’s phones since the incredible 2 and a few of the Nexus phones up until the 6p which is what I’m using now.

I’ve also had the iPhones since iPhone 1 all the way to the 4s and I’ve noticed some differences in performance.

Apple controls the hardware and software so you get a very fluid interface that’s smooth and doesn’t crash, by that I mean apps never force closed on me. It’s easy to use and it’s all so smooth.

What I also notice is they were very slow to add features Android already had at one point. I don’t see anything wrong with using an iPhone other than the fact that I’m too technologically savy to use one. I feel constrained and restricted to that system on Apple. I like to customize my phone, develop stuff and run on it, flash different roms, apply themes and run different kernels on my devices.

I also like that I can change how I navigate an Android..don’t like the stock launcher, get nova launcher and customize every aspect of how you use the UI.

Samsung is full of bloat and their phones are fast for a while and then they slow down. I’m always getting a call from my sister a year after she gets the latest Samsung device telling me that it’s being laggy and if I can fix it.

If pixel 2 ends up looking nice I’m getting it for sure since Android 8 will now allow system wide theming without the need to root your phone so there will be even more customization options.

But if pixel 2 is revealed and is missing key flagship features like water resistance or no front stereo speakers I would not mind trying an iPhone X for a year. It would be hard but I like different experiences.

People should buy whatever they are comfortable with and stop complaining that it’s too expensive. We are in a day and age where phone prices have all increased to the same amount but there are several other cheaper options if you can’t afford it, that will do everything you need a smartphone to do at least for general usage.

I honestly don’t care that much about the hardware. Android is not iOS. It’s not as responsive and not as intuitive. If Samsung wants to create their own mobile OS and it is anywhere near as good as iOS, maybe their phones would be worth $300 more. As it stands, they’re not. This is a complete aside to the fact that Apples hardware is as good in almost all aspects and better in most.

Hold on here. I’ve seen a lot of posts about the S8 vs the IPhone X. Don’t get me wrong, the X is a good phone, and it may be even a contender for most powerful phone, but we cannot possibly be calling the IPhone X the same as the S8 or S8+ screen.

These post are so naive. It’s not just about who gets it first. Sure apple sometimes adopts later than sooner but it’s because they want to put out matured quality and user friendly technology. Being the first to use it is different than being the first to use it correctly.

You know what’s really funny? I’m selling my S8+ to go back to Apple.

My first iPhone was a 6 and I had that till the S8 was out.

Android has nothing on iOS for stability and app consistency.

The number of times each day that apps simply don’t work is ridiculous.

I tried to use the movie maker app on the S8+ to make a 26 second video with 2 audio clips and it crashed about 10 times. Yet my old inferior iPhone 6 handled 50+ 1080’videos, some as long as 10 minutes, to make a 5 minute long video in iMovie without it once crashing, freezing, stuttering or slowing down.

The S8+ can’t even rotate apps from landscape to portrait properly without it freezing, and glitching making apps and wallpapers display incorrectly and taking way too long.

Every day reddit simply won’t work for some reason. Gifs and movies don’t play full screen landscape EVER. Not even once since I’ve had it. Video and photo quality is great, but the app is dogshit clunky.

I was so excited about returning to android, to a big screen phone that’ll be super fast with incredible resolution and what not, but what I never expected was just how unstable android is compared to iOS.

My wife’s first iPhone is a 7+. She’s been a Samsung lady for many years and initially she was not impressed by the iPhone. Several months later she loves it and is about to buy an Apple Watch. She’s excited by the new iPhones and won’t go back to android because the iPhone “just works”.

I was once one of those immature android fanboys who talked shit about Apple sheep and what not. I was going to buy a used iPhone 4s to use as a video camera with Filmic pro, but decided to just try living with an iPhone 6 (which I thought was a beautiful looking phone anyway), and was truly surprised by just how good it is.

Drop the fanboy bullshit and try living with an iPhone for a month, you’ll be blown away by just how dependable it is.
