Who did they play against? Or did they just play wall-y, 3 and in, heads and volleys, and Wembley doubles?

Am I the only person here to have seen Sheffield FC play in person with my own eyes? Saw them play away at my local non-league club Marine FC in an FA Cup/Trophy match a couple years ago.

I’m really not sure this counts as Sheffield FC played “Sheffield rules football”. If we’re not counting rugby football clubs, Australian rules football clubs etc. as football clubs then we shouldn’t include this. Sheffield rules included catching the ball from midair with your hands. The first association rules football club was Notts County in 1862.

“Oldest existing club that today plays association football”. Not “first football club”.
