I won’t believe it until he makes a mistake in a game and Reddit labels him as a French fraud.

3 at the back looks like a real possibility now. I wonder what Pep will do, especially with Sane being hurt now.

Crazy that their record signing is only £57m. I always thought it was more than that.

They’ve done it again. They broke another world transfer fee for a specific position.

    Oh wait..

I’m actually quite surprised Manchester City’s record signing fee is £57m, considering the amount of money they’re willing to pay for players. Guess it just reflects on how inflated the transfer market currently is, that I would consider £57m to be ‘average’ for a team of their stature.

Ideal signing for City and ideal timing. Laporte gets time to adjust to the Pep system and work through his mistakes while they have a comfortable lead in the PL. And come next season, he’ll be ready to form that amazing partnership with Stones. God damn, I hate City for being so good…

Its been a while since we’ve spent 50 million on a CB. I was starting to worry about the club’s finances

Can practically hear the tabloids and commentators licking their lips at his name.

    Laporte skins an attacker:
“Guess he showed him the door”

    Laporte makes a mistake:
“He’s really opened the door for him there”

    Laporte to be sold:
“Man City show Laporte the door”

A whole world of door based puns awaits…

Edit: La Porte literally means ‘the door’

please don’t downvote me. instead just reply on how i’m wrong. how can they afford him if Pep just said they have such strict money constraints? this transfer costs more than Sanchez and Laporte will just warm the bench.
