Rightfully so, what an idiotic comment by Moshiri.

Romelu Lukaku taking legal advice following Farhad Moshiri’s voodoo comments. Belgian striker’s representatives say he’s “sad and angry” at #Everton owner’s claims. Lukaku doesn’t believe in voodoo and is a Roman Catholic.

Ah fair enough. Sounds all fair enough.

    >…not because of voodoo.

    I’ve missed something here.

It was obvious there was a racist undertone to the nonsense Moshiri was spouting so I’m glad Lukaku is doing something about it.

Really good example of the kind of casual racism that pervades football even at the very highest level.

Even if this WERE true, I would have never uttered the Voodoo part. You could simply make the valid point that you did all you could and he was close to signing. To throw that last bit in there, again even if it were true, is a shot fired at Lukaku, and will turn out badly for Moshiri and the club. At the very least from a PR standpoint.

Reminds me years ago when then Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland asked Dez Bryant during the draft interview process if his mom was a prostitute. It became a media shitstorm and the word on the street was that Free Agents (a big deal in the NFL) wouldn’t come to Miami because of Ireland. Most notably was Steelers Safety Ryan Clarke IIRC.

Players talk, I hope Moshiri didn’t screw us here.

Be careful Lukaku, Mayor Anderson might be writing a complaint to FA, FIFA, Police , UN against any legal action against Moshiri.

It’s remarkable how often this kind of crap follows Lukaku. For ages people would assert he was much older than he claims to be, even though he was born in Belgium (and Belgium has a thorough population register). Then there were those chants about his manhood. And now voodoo.

This reminds me of the statement by RB Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Rangnick last year about Naby Keita where “a whole village in Guinea” turned Keita’s head away from RB Leipzig.

    Thoroughly unprofessional and racist.

So, if legal action is taken, does Moshiri have to prove it was voodoo, or does Lukaku have to prove it wasn’t…

As if our club wasn’t enough of a fucking laughing stock after a season so abysmal we had to appoint Sam Allardyce, then Moshiri says that shite. Absolute muppet. Lukaku should be fucking pissed off.

This comment on Grand Old Team (Everton Forum) though… at least the Evertonians on Reddit are sensible… this guy is an idiot as is Moshiri.

    >Living in a world were you cannot say anything with someone being upset and wanting to sue you now. Whether its the truth or not doesn’t really matter. Lots of cry babies around now. Lukaku seeking legal advice indeed. The advice will undoubtedly be something along the lines of dont attempt to take legal action against a billionaire. I for one am glad the truth has come out and it is exactly what i would expect after witnessing the continuous unprofessional childish behaviour from Lukaku while he was at Everton especially every time he went to play for Belgium.

This type of thread is the only thing wrong with Reddit. The white knights will say something white knighty and will be top comment by 5 million upboats. Meanwhile, anyone who thinks the comments are clearly hilarious (90% of people really, but everyone has to pretend to be a white knight on Reddit) will get downboated into oblivion.

People saying Moshiri is idiotic in saying what he said are absolutely correct, if he was lying. If he wasn’t lying, then this is absolutely hilarious and it’s the reason he shared it.

It’s absolutely mental that everyone is jumping on his back calling him a disgraceful racist when we don’t know the facts.

The only thing in question initially would be the professionalism of making this statement, but again – I imagine he was just telling a story from his memory and got carried away.

Stop getting upset over every thing, fuck me.
