If I am correct this was not a picture of her marrying Desi but her in a film.

This isn’t actually from their wedding. It’s a promotional picture for a 1946 movie she was in. Still lovely though.

She was considered a glamour girl in the the 40s. Her TV show changed that idea later.

    She’s looking soo beautiful.
She was also a boss in the industry. She owned her own show and maintained a lot of control of it. She is unheard of at the time in a lot of ways. She managed to play into stereotypes and into her role enough to really break it wide open.

She is a legend and deserves it like few other people in Hollywood history. There are maybe actors that had more depth or range or artistry but there are few that changed the game like she did and took control in a time when women were expected not to.

It’s almost confusing seeing her like this. BEAUTIFUL & fierce almost. I typically imagine her making a mess of things then trying her best to fix it, followed by her iconic laugh/sigh

    Stunning

Wow her eyelashes are really long. Did they use fake lashes back then? Or did they just have better eye lash curlers? They should create an old school make up line. I’d buy it.

I thought the shadow of the lace on her back was a sweet tattoo for a second there.

She was my Grandma’s 2nd cousin and lived a couple streets down from her when she lived in Michigan.

When I was in 7th grade, I had to do a report on someone famous, and happened to be talking to my Grandma about potential people that I wanted to use for the report. That’s when I learned about being related to Lucy, and she started telling me stories about their times together. It was cool to hear all of that stuff…I miss her.

I had a chance to meet her Daughter she had illegitimately out of wedlock. The resemblance was uncanny. She lives in the northwest Chicago suburbs.

Pretty crazy. She was married to Desi for 20 years. His growing fame led to stress which led him to cheat and become an alcoholic. So she filled a divorce. They received 2 beautiful children out of it though.

They both remarried but remained friends. Upon Desi’s deathbed, he said “I love Lucy” was not just a title.
