    Vertonghen was rightly given a “Most consistent” Team of The Season card in FIFA 17.

    I know comparing FIFA to actual football is silly usually. But…

    It does describe him very aptly. He doesn’t tend to have amazing stand out performances but he’s damn good week in and week out.

    Underrated. He outperformed Toby last season and the more I’ve watched Spurs this season, Vertonghen seems to just be getting better.

    Him and Blind are prob the best ball-playing cb’s in the league in my opinion. Jan especially is a good example to watch for upcoming technical defenders.
