Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness . . . Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.

Psalm 51:7–9

Let It Snow

Unless you live in high mountains or the southern hemisphere, you’re probably not accustomed to seeing snow in June. However, when we confess our sins before the Lord and ask for his forgiveness, we can know the clean, white freshness of snowfall within our hearts all year round.

When we harbor sin in our lives, we begin to feel weary, dirty, and burdened by the weight of our own selfishness. Left to our own devices, we can try to make amends, read self-improvement books, and justify our mistakes. But only God can forgive us and make us new again. Only he can wash us clean and make us feel as beautiful as a muddy field blanketed by snow looks.

Spend some time confessing your sins before the Lord, asking him to let it snow in your heart.

Pray: “Lord, thank you for forgiving my sins when I confess them before you. Thank you for washing me white as snow.”

Dear Sister and Brother,

1. God IS in control

2. Life is not always fair, it rains on the just and the unjust…we should not compare our lives to others but focus on the plan God has for us.

3. Bad things will happen in this world, but God promised us a home in heaven if we believe in Jesus. One without sorrow, pain or death…where we never will grow old.

God bless you and your family,
Aaron Tabor, MD
