has anyone seen Person of Interest? started watching it recently, and the concept seems interesting but it’s not really enough to have me addicted yet. is it worth watching all the way through?

I guess same question goes for The Mentalist and Oz.

Can’t decide between FIFA and PES this year. Joined the FIFA side back in 2009 after years on the Konami side, but the last one I really enjoyed was probably 12 or 13. PES looks fun, but there’s something about the animations and the overall aesthetics of the game that I really don’t like

Should I drop out of university?

That’s the question that’s been on my mind for a year now… I’m studying journalism at my local university, but I just dislike it so much… I have no passion for it, 90% of the lectures are incredibly dull and I just want to be elsewhere all the time I’m there. I’m at the start of my second year now, and I feel like I gained absolutely nothing from the first year. It doesn’t help that more than half the people on our course have left, there’s only 10 of us left now and most of those are people I don’t talk to whatsoever.

The only thing that’s giving me happiness right now is the fact that I’m taking a free standing 2 month film course in a Swedish university based in Stockholm. And there I finally feel the passion that I feel like I should have when studying in an university. I’m hugely into filmmaking and that’s what I want to do in the future and this course just encourages creativity, the lecturer is passionate about the subject, the tasks are interesting and offer a challenge.

I just don’t see that I’ll gain anything from the Journalism course, I’ll have to sit there in boredom for nearly 2 more years and I won’t be a single step closer to my dream job of being a writer/director/actor for feature films/tv series. I went into Journalism hoping that I could refine my writing skills and maybe work with some equipment like cameras, microphones etc and get some experience in front of the camera too. And although there has been a little of that, it’s very few and far between, a lot more time is devoted to things like politics and newspapers, which are things I couldn’t care less about…

The only reason I haven’t quit already is because everyone around me is constantly warning me that it’s difficult to get anything done without a Bachelor’s degree and if I quit I better find a new course quickly. But that puts a lot of pressure on me because what if I won’t get accepted into a film course right away? I don’t want to end up working a low end job for 2 years while I desperately look for a course either…

But would a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism really open a significant amount of doors for me? I feel like my parents and the others around me are severely overestimating that paper’s importance, especially considering that I want to work in the entertainment field. Do any of you guys have an idea of whether that degree would really be worth the time that I’m throwing away for it in such a depressing environment?

Sorry for the long text, I just really needed to vent somewhere…

Just finished Sopranos a little while ago and I’m extremely bummed that it’s over. Just an unbelievable masterpiece of a show.

I’m sure a lot of you have watched it, what’s your favourite scene? Mine has to either be [Christopher’s intervention](https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=6&v=9_peSCECc4I) or Tony and Furio paying a visit to the doctor with the golfcart!

I moved after graduating (couple months back), and have literally 0 social circle. Struggling to make new friends, apart from pickup basketball buddies, with whom the friendship ends as soon as the basketball ends…idk what to do, no friends, no social circle is just sad.

I’ve made the decision to skip on buying FIFA 18, because I know I’ll just come back from work and play all night if I get it, and withdraw more and more from society.

Finding a job after uni is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I graduated in July 2016 and the only job I could get since then was in retail.

But I finally got a fucking full time job doing something that I want to do. After 15 months of absolute misery I can finally be proud of what I do and earn enough to move out. I start in October and honestly can’t wait. The relief is fucking overwhelming

I dont have passion for any of them specificly. life feels like an experiment. the only thing that kind of makes sense is to work out , cause it helps you be more effective and Im glad Ive been doing that.

So you know when you are on a night out and its agreed that ‘in a bit’ you’ll move on to the next location. A while later everyone agrees to move, stands up and grabs their coats etc.

You make your way to the door, stop and glance back just to see if everyone is moving, and **nobody is, they’re just standing there**.

What the actual fuck are you doing? What is stopping you from just *walking*?

It is always a. all the girls and b. the single guys desperately trying to be overly friendly to them, in case they have a single friend. It fucking irritates me.

Job hunting in Ireland as a non European national with a non- IT/computer science degree is fucking bullshit. I have legit run out of fucking ideas. Wondering if I should even renew my visa to remain in the country next month if nobody’s gonna fucking hire me.

Fuck me for choosing to come here to study ‘business ‘ if I have to fuck off back to my home country having finished it.

It’s not like I’m an idiot either. I’ve fucking won awards over here. But if people choose to not hire you because of your ‘visa status’, what’s even the fucking point?!

I have a job interview for QA testing in video games. I am really stoked because I want to localize games and I feel like this would be a great starting point, especially since I don’t have a four-year degree. I have a two year degree and I get the feeling that people feel some sort of way about it. I have also been job searching like crazy and had very few interview offers.

    Anyways, wish me luck!

I’ve set aside my studies and I’ve completed wasting close to 78 hours of my life watching Game of Thrones. I now realise how obsessed this website is with the show and how many memes just went over my head.

    **SPOILER**

Why in the flying fuck does Daenerys just not take her dragons out past the wall and light the mother fuckers up. It’ll take like 5 mins. and you just go on your way and thus no need to waste time compromising with enemies. Also, incest.

Say theoretically, you find out you have a distant relative who played for multiple teams in a top league you don’t really follow. Would you cheer for any of the teams he played for? If so, which one–the biggest, the one he was at the longest, his local club?

Call it unpopular opinion but the salt this sub has with Neymar has ruined this place for the past week.

So many great games happened over the past couple of days and all you see on the front page is about Neymar or Cavani or some overly-used joke about Alves

My son was born on Monday! So happy but a few cautions I’d like to share. My wife started to feel every contraction even with an epidural. After about an hour of this, the OB did an ultrasound and saw that baby was breached and ordered an emergency csection. This still didn’t count for the pain. When the cut my wife open, they expected to have to cut the cervix to get to baby, but it turns out her cervix ruptured. This is why she was feeling everything.

The team of doctors and nurses were phenomenal, truly. I was at my wife’s head singing to her while I watched way too much blood dripping at the feet of the doctor. It was incredibly scary. They pulled baby out, my wife heard him cry, smiled and tanked. She didn’t flat line or anything but the docs and anesthesiologist where going back and forth talking, asking for this and that. When they were sewing her back up, the imagery of William Wallace getting gutted came to mind, where he kind of gasps and you see his torso getting pulled and moved around.

Later in recovery, the doctor said that if we had had a home birth, my wife would had certainly died and possibly my son. So please, go to the hospital for birthing. It’s not worth the mom or babies life to stay at home if you have access to a hospital.

Sleep deprived edit: cervix should be uterus
