It’s nice that the 4 largest cities in Spain are represented by their best team in these Copa del Rey semis.

So using your best players is a decent strategy for qualifying…

    Who would have guessed?

What if Barca draws Leganes, and get knocked out of Leganes. What a story that would be. Not jinxing Barca, but it would be a real treat to see that.

I don’t want Leganes, they had a pretty easy road thus far going against weak opposition, they’re gonna be rested.

Had it not been for an uncharacteristic miss by Messi in the 1st half and an insane double save by Pau in the 2nd, this game would never have been close (not even mentioning Messi’s header). But such is futbol.

As it were, Barca beat a tough and physical side, with a shit ref. I for one can unpucker and enjoy a nice glass of wine.

    Visca Barca!

Awesome. Topping the sweet schadenfreude of seeing RM kicked out by Leganes is getting through by beating Espanyol. Thank you FBC, feels great!

It’ll be the 4th consecutive Copa Del Rey if we win it this season.

That must be some kind of record.

We’re the Patriots of the Spanish Cup.

For obvious reasons, i’m gonna look salty, but the backclapping of Barcelona on this sub is bordering on the unbearable. Were there an official post for the fact that Valencia reached the ‘Copa de Rey semi-final!’?

Something that is amazing by this Barca side is the high pressure they keep all game. I haven’t seen that since Guardiola’s days, they did under Luis Enrique (especially the first year). It’s truly amazing, some of them are not that young anymore!
