Good for him. Salute to any player who gets $18 million a year to play in an easy league. Better than going to England and having fucking Paul Merson criticise you week after week.

Bakagoal easily one of the best strikers at the moment. I will miss watching him play though.

Everytime someone said Auba would leave Dortmund. This is the first name I think of, when coming to players to replace him. Don’t know why.

Has anyone here been to China? I was just in Shenzhen (which is close to Guangzhou – about 2 hour drive). Tried speaking to some locals with my broken Mandarin and basically learned that most football fans watch leagues overseas rather than the CSL. Also, maybe I shouldn’t generalize for all of China but the country itself probably isn’t that exciting for a footballer who’s played in a top 5 league. A lot less fan culture and it’s not like the players live in Hong Kong which would be a lot more fun.

I won’t be surprised if players come back quickly from China. It’s a cool place to visit if you’ve never been but settling down there is definitely not an option for me in my life.
