Lol Phil Neville saying its never a penalty and Carragher saying it’s clear as day. Wouldn’t it be think this was a call in Everton’s favor.

Lovren does himself zero justice. If a striker has his back to you why would you **ever** put two hands on his back. It just looks like a push. I am not saying i think it was a pen, but Lovren is a fucking bonehead, and through his own idiocy cost his team 2 points as well as made himself look like a fool post match

Christ, the difference in attitudes when different players are involved in penalty shouts is shocking.

Sterling went down from a push against Arsenal and this place was adamant it was a dive.

Lovren fucking barely breathes on someone and it’s a clear penalty.

Two hands in the back in the penalty area is just plain stupid. By being an idiot you’ve given the ref the opportunity to make an *understandable* mistake.

Carra doing his standard thing of being ridiculously anti Liverpool in order to avoid seeming biased.

From the referee’s angle, it clearly looks like a shove in the back by Lovren. Carra is unfortunately right.

Soft pen but he’s got no reason to even touch Calvert-Lewin’s back as he heads away from the goal. Brainless.

Not sure which decision was worse; Lovren’s push or Mané not passing the ball for an easy 2-0. Threw the game away for no reason.

City should have had at least two pens with Carra logic. Bring in VAR.

Carras an extremely biased source. Lovren could’ve been 15 feet away from Calvert Lewin and he still would’ve been saying it was Lovren’s fault.

Lovren has had trouble with abuse received on social media in the past and I don’t appreciate Carra trying to throw fuel on the fire here.

Disagree completely, that would be a very lenient free kick in the middle of the pitch, the ref has been convinced by the hand movement and the fact that Calvert-Lewin was blown over in the wind.

Bullshit. If Lovren put enough force on him with that to push him over, we need to make football a non-contact sport.

It’s not 100% a penalty. I saw that bs coming a mile a way too. I bet you it was given because its a derby.

there was contact, guy with the ball fell down- lost the ball, guy making challenge was clear to get the ball. Why would it not be a penalty?

Anybody who says this is never a pen doesnt play football.
Its just a fast push. Normally you want to close down to somebody and then put force on him.

liverpool fans, if this was outside the box, you would say it is a foul, which makes it a penalty anyways. Lovren’s fault for being a dumbass and using his hands. Yeah, the player could have stayed up, but why would he when he knew he could win a pen?

It is a pen. Lovren fucked up. Lewin had no angle on goal and he clearly pushed him. Granted Lewin sold it, but it is still a pen. Lovren cant start at cb next season.
