Home Entertainment Bilic on Arnautovic: “His potential is enormous but I want him to show that consistency, not to get satisfied and then relaxing. He has pace, it is impossible to get the ball from him, he has great skill and vision. All the ingredients are there so Marko, don’t make me one pizza, make me 10.”

Arnautovic is a textbook example of a player that will win you games on his own, then disappear for 3-4 games and/or get a silly red here and there and when you think “Is this guy really worth it?” he will score a banger to save you a point or get you a win. Rinse and repeat.

Very honest and accurate assessment from Bilic. He’s an absolutely wonderful player on his day, but when he can’t be arsed, he *really* can’t be arsed. May as well not be playing.

Bilic obviously has a customer loyalty card with the “buy 10 pizzas get 1 free” offer.

Arnautovic would be great in the 90s. He’s a bit like Gazza. Today the game is more about stamina and closing gaps/making space for others.

Arnautovic is extremely vital for our national team and constantly performing better than Alaba. He is probably the most important player on our NT atm and has improved a lot in the last few years, from a footballing perspective but also attitude wise.

Someone should tell Bilic that the Pizzas belong to Ranieri.

Next he will be trying to ring a bell.
