I’d like to know how bet3.65 claim that a 3rd party is involved?

Also she placed 960 bets on those races which seems alot!

    1. It is obvious she didn’t place the bets on her behalf. Someone gave her the money and she placed them.
    2. She won the bets, and she should be paid.

    3. And most important. If she loses the 25k on accas, I bet my balls that bet365 wouldn’t be cancelling the bets. So point 1 is invalid because they only apply it when “it interests me”.

    Disgusting bookies

A 19 year old made a bet with that much money? Unless she is a daughter of some millionaire, that is quite bizarre. Despite that, bet365 should honour it unless they have strong evidence that there was a 3rd party involved. She will probably win that case or they will settle. Will drag long though.

Waiting for the day I make 1k on a bet nevermind 1 fucking million though.

i read the article and i don’t even know what she bet, or why they don’t honor it …

so they’re saying because a husband bet on her account? or something like that?

this is pure bull shit, because they need to honor LOSING bets of this kind too and that would be devastating for them, since you could claim for *any losing* bet it wasn’t placed by you.

they *will* honor it in the end.

but this just proves sports books are mafia, literally, companies hiding from tax heavens behind shady over bloated half illegal TOS

at least in UK this is regulated and you *can* sue a sports book, good luck with that in the rest of the world though.

I mean, I’ll never win a million in a bet but I wouldn’t want 365 to be my bookie when it happens

    >Even the £24,960 stake has not been returned. At the heart of bet365’s refusal to pay is the betting firm’s insistence that Miss McCann breached a ‘no third party’ rule, which insists the whole stake must be put up by the customer alone.

    >Miss McCann’s lawyers dispute that she agreed to such a rule, which are buried within terms and conditions which are “too lengthy, too complex and much too vague for the average customer to understand.”

It says a lot that her lawyers aren’t claiming that she didn’t breach the rules, they are claiming that the rules are too complicated to understand. So she was definitely betting for a third party. Her lawyers aren’t denying that.

Something shady has gone on for sure. A 19 year old placing £25k of bets for a third party on 12 obscure horse races. No way is that legit.

To be fair, they should honor the bets if they’re willing to take them on. At the same time, this is dodgy as fuck. They would save a lot more money in terms of bad press it seems if they were to just flag these type of bets at the beginning, ie when the first 50 were placed, and maybe call the number on the account to verify authenticity before allowing it to proceed.

While obscure horse races obviously screams rigged – not honoring a bet you took is just scamaz.

There’s definitely some funny business going on here, but bet365 fucked up by closing the account and not refunding her initial stake. Shitty move by them.

That said, I’d never had a problem with them.

Interested to know how they will prove she didn’t bet with her own money.

If someone gives her a gift of £X and she chooses to bet with it then its her money she is betting with.

Obviously her connections know how to play the game so if she keeps her cool and has answers for all the questions then she gets paid.

Bet365 won’t lose business over this no matter what anyone says but it doesn’t look great for them.

Well done to whoever pulled this off:)

I think this is right to be withheld but for all the wrong reasons. 960 bets across 12 horses, all obscure races. That’s known as fixed betting. If she was just betting say for a family member then it’s a complete joke, but with £25,000 I doubt that is the case
