I dont think the Auba situtation is as bad as media is making and seem. BVB know that and Arsenal don’t.

I have to say its hilarious because rarely do I see all of a clubs supporters agree with the other clubs requirements and be pissed with their own clubs cheapness like Arsenal supporters.

Arsenal lads here are dope. Best self-depricating fans for sure.

    Let me get this straight:

    – The player wants to come here and even already agreed terms

    – Borussia are demanding a reasonable fee for a top quality player

    – We sold players for a total of £105m since we signed Lacazette

And yet somehow we are lowballing and fucking up which would be a great signing!!!! Any other top 6 club would have wrapped up this deal even before the Sanchez swap was completed! Also this deal is our best hope to convince Ozil to sign a new contract, we fuck it up, Ozil is 100% gone in the Summer too.

So Dortmund are getting annoyed at Arsenal low-balling, while Arsenal will continue to low ball because they believe Aubameyang’s position at Dortmund is essentially untenable now.

I think the issue for Arsenal with this tactic is that Aubameyang is under contract til 2021. While I’m sure Dortmund don’t want to whack him in the reserves for 6 months, they feasibly could with very little reduction to his value (although his wages would cost them 5m EURO in that time). Not to mention, Arsenal won’t always be the only team in for him.

Definitely an article brief by the Dortmund board, essentially getting Arsenal to stop pissing around with low offers. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

I don’t understand how Arsenal have dealt with this transfer so far. I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes but you get a chance to buy one of the best strikers in the world for around 60m, which is pretty good and then you not only lowbal but release videos with Mkhitaryan saying “Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?”, as if the deal was already done. Idk what the situation with Giroud is but from an Arsenal pov it’s a no brainer to involve him in the deal, even if it’s just a 6 months loan. Surely Giroud (or his family) can’t protest that with the world cup coming up, he’s somehow a starter but there are enough ridiculously talented strikers for France to claim his spot if Giroud never plays for club.

Prediction: Arsenal walks away, saying the price is too high, only to come back on deadline day with around 70 million. Dortmund then either chooses to sell or not sell, and it goes right down to the deadline.

Wtf is 2 million pounds in a 50 or 60 odd million transfer lmfao?? Was it Uli Hoeness who was quoted “in a transfer you argue about that sun for five minutes”.

Then again , BvB and Arsenal are the two stingiest clubs in football.

I’m still really confused by this – have Dortmund officially commented on this? I remember when Hummels said he was planning on leaving they released a comment almost instantly. Now they’ve released an official statement on Subotic saying he is free to talk with other clubs.

Surely something like this is major enough that it would impact Dortmund’s shares and is certainly something that would warrant an official statement.

Can someone with a much better understanding of what publicly traded companies should do in this situation let me know what’s going on because full disclosure… I’m just completely lost.

Yeah never saw a reason to worry tbh, for 3 reasons. 1) It’s arsenal, 2) Aubameyang will not gain anything, 3) Arsenal already have Lacazette, Giroud, and Welbeck as strikers.

Did anyone ever expect Arsenal to pay 60 mil? When I heard the amount I knew it was another smokescreen from Arsenal so they can say they ‘tried’ after the window closes.

They’ll probably put the 60 mil on a savings account, so next year they’ll have 61 mil to put on a savings account, while Aubameyang will be worth 90 mil.
