Without mutually assured destruction, we would have had so many more wars. The ICBM has been the greatest tool for peace between major powers in history.

What if the dinosaurs were actually highly intelligent more so than us humans are now? And they had created nuclear weapons that they used to wage war on the different factions of dinos. There was no natural disaster. THE DINOS NUKED THEMSELVES OFF THE PLANET!!!

If we’re willing to bomb each other back to the Stone Age, have we really left it at all?

    nobody would use nukes.

the fifth panel should have robots shooting at each other while the people cower behind them.

Here’s a [site](https://nuclearsecrecy.com/nukemap/) where you can experiment and measure the devastation from hypothetical nuclear explosions. Scary stuff.

It’s sweet that everyone assumes that after an apocalyptic nuclear war we would revert to cavemen.

We would go extinct. The next worldwide war would be tens or hundreds of millions of years later, if ever.

To be frank, this may be how we cure cancer… mass nuclear extinction means that the only human survivors are those with genetic mutations that don’t allow cancer to grow or spread.
